I’m sharing my one-month experience with this pod to help those who want to buy a pod but don’t know which brand and model to get.
I mostly use salt nic for vaping, and as I mentioned before, I’ve had brief experience with the Caliburn Koko Prime and GK2 pods, as well as Vaporesso Luxe and Xros series, or Geekvape Hero series, or Lost Vape Ursa Nano and Ursa Baby. On the other hand, I’ve had full experience with pod mods from brands like Lost Vape Ursa Quest and Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro with its separate atomizer, and the professional MTL atomizer Vandy Vape Berserker V2. Those who’ve used the Berserker know how enjoyable it is for salt nic. But once I got to use Uwell’s compact pods, I noticed a pretty huge difference in the pure and consistent flavor delivery of this brand with the G series coils, and honestly my Berserker atomizer kind of lost its place for me.
I convinced myself to get one of Uwell’s models, and after checking them out I saw the best and most complete pod among Uwell pods is this Caliburn X. Even if you go to Uwell’s official website, you’ll see it won the Best Vape Pod of 2022 award from Vaping 360!
Besides the separate screen for showing wattage, puff count, and battery percentage, you can also access your desired watt setting, which you can’t see in most pods. Usually you don’t have any control over wattage or access to puff count, except for a simple or colored LED just for looks or to show battery status, like the Caliburn GK2 where everything is basically reduced to an LED!
Also, the flavor you get from Caliburn pods with G series coils, you won’t find in any other major brand like Geekvape pods with B series coils, Vaporesso, or Lost Vape. Uwell really does better in the pod area and still does, and for now there’s no rival for it.
And don’t pay attention to the standard puff count they mention for the coils, because all companies list it in the ideal case. For example, for the G series coils they announced 3000, but for me it was exactly half of that, 1500 puffs.

After testing four different Uwell Caliburn models (and of course different pods from other brands), I recommend my friends choose this model. A complete, high-quality pod. Thanks to Vape X for having reasonable prices, good quality stuff, and sending original, sealed products. I bought this pod system about two months ago. Before that I did a lot of research and found out it’s one of the most complete pod systems on the market. It’s a Uwell brand, which gives better flavor than other pod system brands, and it has a powerful 800 mAh battery and adjustable airflow. The cartridges also have a 3 ml capacity, while most others are 2 ml, and the coil is separate from the cartridge so you can easily replace the coil of the same cartridge. It also has a display where you can see puff count, battery charge, coil resistance, and some warnings. On top of all that, it has both a sensor for taking a puff and a fire button like vapes, so if the sensor breaks it won’t become useless. Don’t worry about the button in your pants pocket, because you can lock it easily with two clicks. I use vgod Dry Tobacco salt nic and so far, after two months, the coil is still fine. Of course it depends on how much you use it and what salt you use. The battery lasts me a day and a half to two days. For each coil resistance there’s a watt range written under the coil and you should set it. Higher watts give you more and warmer vapor. I’ll also write a comparison of the different coil resistances on the Caliburn G coil page. For the button performance, I recommend reading the product manual — it explains everything very clearly. If you like the design, don’t hesitate to buy it. Honestly, it makes you not even want to go back to cigarettes.

Just to help out and give a good, ideal choice to friends, I’m saying that after about 8 months of continuous daily use of this pod, I noticed a few pros and cons.
Cons:
1. The body scratches really easily, to the point that now my pod looks like it’s been used for two years!
2. The draw sensor sometimes messes up when the connection point between the tank and the pod has a little extra leak, and it might turn on by itself for a few seconds, which is very bad for coil life. Of course, a little leaking is normal in the vaping world, but logically it shouldn’t turn on by itself. Still, it’s not annoying and it doesn’t happen all the time or every day.
Pros:
1. Long coil life, so if you use it properly and reasonably, it easily gives you 2500 puffs.
2. Long battery life, which saves you from charging for one to a few days depending on your usage.
3. Unmatched flavor delivery!
4. A very ergonomic and just-right size for a constant companion.
5. No leak, or salt nic leakage, in all different situations (of course, if you fill it up to the max line of the tank; otherwise it’ll mess everything up!).
6. The biggest and most unique advantage of this pod is its screen, which shows you the ohms, puff count, and battery level so you can have better control over the pod.
Overall, if I were to buy again or go back, this would definitely be my choice because it accompanied me in every way. Also, it had so many scratches that luckily, when the silicone cover for this same model became available at Vape X, I was able to give it a new life and now my pod looks really nice.

There’s no problem with taking the cartridge out to fill the tank, and it doesn’t matter whether you take it out or fill it while it’s on the pod. In fact, the best thing is to take it out, see the max line clearly, fill it, and put it back in place.

I’ve had it for about 20 days, but my only problem with it is that so far I’ve changed the coil twice. After a few days the flavor changes and it tastes burnt. The recommended wattage for my coil is right and I use Black Note salt nic. I take around 180 to 200 puffs a day. But I don’t know how this coil burning problem can be fixed! Or if it’s normal.

I’ve been using this pod for about two weeks now. I got two of them with a 30% discount. I set both up with vgod brown Cuban coffee salt nic. Both devices have acceptable draw and flavor delivery. More than 18 ml of salt nic has been used in each device and so far the stock coil is still fine, gives good flavor, and I absolutely haven’t had even a tiny bit of leakage (of course, with basic care, priming, and using the salt nic according to the min and max lines marked on the pod.)
In terms of battery life, this device seems a bit weak compared to its modern counterparts, but a full charge using the recommended standard 5V 2A adapter in the user manual takes 45 minutes and lasts about 600 puffs, which was enough for me for about a full 2 days, which is reasonable.
The only thing is that the draw is completely MTL, or mouth-to-lung, which I personally like, but the device makes a kind of hissing sound when you take a puff that’s a bit louder than any device I’ve seen, and the only way to fix it is to fully close the airflow, which makes the draw insanely tight. When the battery is fully charged, a whistling-like sound is added too, but that’s not a big problem because once the charge level gets to 80%, the second one goes away by itself.
Another thing is the min and max line on the cartridge, which are very close together. The reason is that the holes built into the coils are placed a bit high, which wastes part of the useful space in the cartridge for holding salt nic, though with the 3 ml capacity of these cartridges it’s not really a big issue.
Last point: I got the black and blue colors. On the blue one, the authenticity sticker was stuck inside the pouch and on the manual, unlike the black one, where it was on the side of the box and fully visible. Both devices were sealed and genuine, but according to the manufacturer’s website, that means my blue pod was made before 2023 and the black one after that year. Since Uwell uses quality batteries, I didn’t notice any noticeable difference in battery life between the devices (although the blue one arrived with an empty battery and the black one with about 40% charge). Only the blue unit’s screen had a very slight pixel burn and was dimmer and less bright than the other one, which is completely understandable considering I bought the older model, so no complaint there.
Bottom line, maybe this model is a bit old now, but in my opinion it’s still one of the good devices on the market and definitely still worth buying.
